Trojans

Trojans are malicious programs that pretend to be legitimate software, but actually carry out hidden, harmful functions. A Trojan program pretends to do one thing, but actually does something else, usually without your knowledge, such as steal banking credentials, install spyware, or run ransomware. For example, a malicious link might offer a “Cool Game.” When you download and install the game program, it turns out not to be a game at all, but a harmful piece of malware that compromises your computer or erases the data on your hard drive. Sophos Home blocks known Trojans by leveraging the vast, continuously updated SophosLabs database of threats, along with real-time behavioral detection technologies, to seek out and block never-before-seen threats.
